Youth Mission Opportunities
Our Youth Mission experiences allow our young people to get involved in the world around them locally and far away to make a difference in the lives of those in need.
Over the years, our youth have participated in Mission Trips to Atlanta, Georgia; Greenville, South Carolina; cities in North Carolina, and Wheery, Tennessee. In 2013, our youth were part of an outreach effort to Haiti.
Early Release Day Mission Projects
The first Wednesday of each month, schools close mid-day. To use that time in a meaningful way, our youth gather and partner with a local organization and serve to meet needs in our community. They have partnered with the Boys and Girls Club, The Red Cross, Christ Central, Golden Harvest Food Bank, ACTS, and Habitat for Humanity.
The youth collect money to help provide Christmas for families in need in our community.
Souper Bowl of Caring
Youth take an offering every Super Bowl Sunday to support community food pantries. We have helped Golden Harvest Food Bank, ACTS, and the Salvation Army. For more information visit www.souperbowl.org
Youth Chili Cook-Off
Every fall, the youth hold a church-wide chili cook-off to raise money to support their various mission trips and projects.
