Join us for a tour of the headquarters of the National Wild Turkey Federation in Edgefield, SC. We will tour the Winchester Museum, the only museum in the world dedicated to wildturkey restoration, management and hunting. Take a scavenger hunt in the museum and learn how to “talk turkey”. After that we will “strut” over to see the Palmetto Shooting Complex which has sporting clays, trap and skeet fields and a 9,300 sq. ft. pavilion.
Lunch will be “gobbled up” at the Old Edgefield Grill in a Historic Victorian house built in 1906 as the first brick home in the area, just off the square in Edgefield.
After lunch we will spend about an hour to see what we can “dig up” around the Courthouse Square.
Cost of this outing is $10 to include transportation and the museum tour. Lunch is on your own. We will meet at the church parking lot at 9:00 am and return between 3-4 pm.
Reservations must be made with the church office no later than May 8th. Sign up early, space is limited!
