By coming together we can accomplish much and we are grateful to have a number of Mission Partners as we go about the work of Christ in our world.

Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of South Carolina

Allendale Work Day: This project by the CBF of SC allows Aiken’s First Baptist Church members to reach out to individuals in this economically depressed community in our region. The estimated median household income in 2009 for Allendale was only $18,358 as compared with $42,442 for the State of South Carolina. We have been participating in this project since 2003.

Metanoia is working to bluid youth leadership, establish quality housing, and generate economic development in North Charleston, SC.

State Missions Offering: Our support of the CBF of SC State Missions Offering supports work in Allendale, Metanoia, and ministering to Internationals in South Carolina.

Cooperative Baptist Fellowship

Global Missions Offering: Our support of the CBF Global Missions Offering supports field personnel working around the world.

Disaster Response: Working together, CBF churches around the world reach out in times of disaster to those in need including such disasters as the earthquake in Haiti, tornado in Oklahoma, etc.

• The Cooperative Baptist Fellowship supports more than 130 field personnel serving in remote villages and large cities around the world, They make a difference in the lives of the world’s most neglected people.

Habitat for Humanity

Aiken’s First Baptist Church along with St. John's United Methodist Church were instrumental in beginning Habitat for Humanity in Aiken in 1992. Since that time, Aiken's First Baptist Church has built more houses than any other church or organization. Around 20 homes have been made available to families because of our involvement, both in terms of financing and thousands of volunteer hours. In addition, members of our congregation are on the board of directors of Habitat.

Operation Christmas Child

Aiken’s First Baptist Church members and groups fill shoe boxes for children around the world every fall. In addition, Aiken’s First Baptist Church serves as the drop-off point for churches in the area. Youth and adults from our church also volunteer in the Operation Christmas Child Warehouse in Charlotte helping to check and sort the thousands of shoe boxes collected before they are distributed internationally.

Area Churches Together Serving (ACTS)

Aiken’s First Baptist Church members support Area Churches Together Serving (ACTS) throughout the year in efforts such as the Fan Drive and Heater & Utility Drive. On a monthly basis, our members are asked to donate specified grocery and household items for the ACTS Senior Food Ministry Collection.
